About me

I’m Stella, founder of The Healing Temple, and I am deeply passionate about guiding others on their journey toward holistic wellness. I am a dedicated Reiki Practitioner, Breathwork Facilitator, and Wellness Coach, blending over 20 years of experience as an educator with a profound commitment to healing and personal growth.

In 2022, I transitioned from the educational world into the wellness field, becoming a personal trainer, nutritional coach and gym instructor, and over the following years, expanded my expertise with Reiki in 2024 and Breathwork in 2025. This journey has allowed me to combine mindfulness techniques, personalised coaching, and energy healing to empower my clients to achieve balance, clarity, and well-being.

At the heart of my practice is a simple but powerful belief: healing does not mean the damage never existed; it means the damage no longer controls our lives. This philosophy guides every session, every class, and every connection I cultivate at The Healing Temple.

Qualifications

2000

NVQ3 in Chilcare

This qualification has equipped me with the practical skills and professional knowledge needed to work confidently in a childcare setting. I have developed a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and health and safety, enabling me to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children. Through hands-on experience, I have strengthened my ability to support learning through play, manage behaviour positively, communicate effectively with children and families, and work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.

2004

QTS

Achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) has provided me with the skills and confidence to plan and deliver high-quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners. I have developed strong classroom management, assessment, and lesson planning skills, alongside the ability to adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles and abilities. This qualification has strengthened my understanding of curriculum requirements, inclusive practice, and safeguarding, enabling me to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment where students can thrive.

2007

NASENCO

Achieving the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) has strengthened my expertise in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. This qualification has developed my ability to lead inclusive practice, coordinate effective SEN provision, and work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. I have gained a strong understanding of SEND legislation, assessment processes, and strategic planning, enabling me to identify needs early, implement targeted support, and ensure all learners are able to access a high-quality, inclusive education.

2011

ELKLAN

Completing the ELKLAN qualification has strengthened my skills in supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs. I have developed a deeper understanding of how language difficulties impact learning and behaviour, and how to implement practical strategies to support communication in everyday classroom and early years settings. This training has enabled me to adapt my teaching and interactions, work effectively with speech and language therapists, and create a communication-friendly environment that helps children build confidence and make progress.

2018

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID 

Completing Mental Health First Aid has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to recognise, support, and respond to mental health challenges in children, young people, and colleagues. I have learned practical strategies for early intervention, active listening, and providing appropriate support, as well as how to guide individuals toward professional help when needed. This qualification has strengthened my ability to create a safe, supportive, and positive environment that promotes wellbeing and resilience for everyone in my care.

2022

Level 3 Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor 

Certified as a Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor, I am trained to design and lead personalised fitness programs that improve strength, endurance, flexibility, and overall health. I have expertise in assessing clients’ fitness levels, creating tailored workout plans, and providing guidance on proper technique and safe exercise practices. Skilled in both individual and group training, I support clients in achieving their fitness goals while promoting motivation, consistency, and long-term wellness.

2023

Nutritional coach

Certified as a Nutritional Coach, I am trained to provide personalised guidance on diet, lifestyle, and wellness to support optimal health and wellbeing. I have expertise in assessing individual nutritional needs, creating tailored meal and lifestyle plans, and educating clients on evidence-based strategies for sustainable habits. Skilled in one-on-one coaching and group guidance, I help clients achieve their health goals, improve energy, and cultivate long-term, balanced nutrition practices.

2023

Reiki Level 1 and 2

Certified as a Reiki Practitioner, I am trained to provide hands-on and distance energy healing sessions that support physical, emotional, and energetic balance. Through this training, I developed expertise in channeling Reiki energy, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and tailoring sessions to individual needs. I am skilled in facilitating both one-on-one and group sessions, helping clients release tension, restore harmony, and promote overall wellbeing.

2024-2025

Breathwork Facilitator

Certified as a Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator, I am trained to lead guided breathwork sessions that support emotional release, stress reduction, and holistic wellbeing. Through this training, I developed expertise in Conscious Connected Breathwork techniques, session planning, and creating a safe, supportive environment for participants. I am skilled in facilitating both individual and group sessions, integrating mind-body practices to promote personal transformation and deeper self-awareness.

2025

Level2 Counselling

A Level 2 Counselling course provides foundational skills, covering core techniques like active listening, empathy, and building rapport, alongside key theories (Person-Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic) and ethical/diversity principles, assessed through practical role-plays, self-reflection, and written work, to build a base for further training or supportive roles.
